Organized by the International Housewares Association (IHA) since 2000, the Global Innovation Awards (gia) aim to honor innovation and excellence in home and housewares retailing on a global scale. This year’s ceremony took place on March 2, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel.
Recognized as one of the most prestigious events in the industry, gia has honored nearly 600 retailers from 57 countries across six continents over the past 25 years. The gia program is also supported by ZUCHEX Blog, which contributes as a content partner to this prestigious international organization.
As in previous years, a total of 31 national winners from 30 countries were meticulously evaluated by an international jury. The gia global jury is composed of four retail and visual merchandising experts, along with seven editors and publishers from leading housewares trade publications around the world. This esteemed panel selected the gia Global Honorees from among the national winners.
Representing Türkiye, Schafer stood out by winning awards in two major categories. The brand was honored with both the gia Excellence in Retailing Award National Winner and The gia Digital Commerce Award for Excellence in Online Retailing.
With its innovative digital solutions, commitment to customer experience, and visionary approach to retail, Schafer impressed the jury and emerged as one of the exemplary brands proudly representing Türkiye on the global stage.
