Following a one-year negotiation process, Karaca has purchased Weimar, one of Germany’s longest running porcelain brands. Established in the city of Weimar, the 229-year old brand will continue to operate under the Karaca roof.
CEO Fatih Karaca said that the brands will continue to strengthen together, with superior quality products and design value. “We conducted the strategic planning together with McKinsey, and we aim to open 30 shops abroad within the next five years. We established our European headquarters and logistics centre in Cologne. The retail operation and European e–trading started simultaneously, and we target to serve all of Europe from Germany via e-trading. A driver for our growth in Germany will be the recently-purchased brand”.
